Following a feasibility study, Arcus provided a multi-disciplinary team approach to the design and delivery of the refurbishment and expansion programme for Oasis Academy Clarksfield.

The existing buildings were retained and, following completion of the extension works, had repair and improvement works undertaken to bring them up to a good standard/condition. The final proposals included an extension to the Kitchen and Dining facilities, the derelict basement pool being remodelled into a second Sports Hall, and the main entrance being relocated to improve access to the academy, which allowed the administration areas to be rationalised and improved to their new location.

The new extension allowed the mezzanine level to be extended and developed to accommodate an additional staff room, due to the increased numbers of staff, and the library. The first floor was also extended above the new administration and reception area to create 2No. new Key Stage 2 classrooms.  The ground and first floor teaching areas were remodelled to create a further 2No. new classrooms and 2No. new group rooms. The nursery and reception areas were relocated to the rear of the ground floor, with improved external play areas and access.

Arcus have also carried out works to Oasis other Academies Oasis Firvale, Oasis Lister Park, Oasis Parkwood and Oasis Aspinal.  The types of works have included, refurbishments, remodels, maintenance works, surveys and feasibility studies.
