Harrogate Road is a 14 unit shared ownership scheme in a semi-rural setting, adjacent to the prestigious Victoria Mill in Reddish. The site is within the north end of the Holdsworth conservation area; historically it was identified that the site was part of the chemical works producing artificial dyes for textiles dating from 1867. These works were demolished in the early 1970’s with the site laying vacant since.
The completed scheme featured a site with a private driveway with mews type housing with traditional features and materials designed to blend well with its surroundings. Within one month of project handover, all units had been successfully reserved or sold. The project has been nominated for a number of shared ownership scheme awards.
