Arcus were appointed as Clerk of Works by PRP, South Yorkshire Housing’s Project Managers, on their Dun Works scheme of 225 apartments.

In order to retain the Grade 2 Listed site elements that had over time been damaged and fallen into poor condition, the kiln and façade were dismantled and restored using the original bricks and features – approximately 32,000 bricks were taken down cleaned and stored on site, until the block was built.

Despite several challenges, such as archaeology being found on site, the scheme was completed to a high standard and to the client’s satisfaction, providing much needed housing to a city centre location.
