Bury Council appointed Arcus to manage the regeneration of two green spaces to the Chesham and Ferngrove Estate. The project aims to breathe new life into urban and suburban green spaces with a focus on promoting environmental sustainability, biodiversity and community well-being.

To ensure the project met the needs and preferences of the local community, the management team organised public meetings, surveys and gathered feedback regarding the design and execution of the landscaping project.   This encouraged a strong sense of ownership and satisfaction among the residents.

Designs were carefully considered in order to blend the new spaces well with the existing area, as well as ensuring that the landscaped areas, pathways and seating areas were accessible to all community members, including those with disabilities. Sustainability was at the heart of the scheme as we employed practices such as utilising native plants and implementing effective irrigation systems to create ecologically diverse green spaces.
