Arcus was appointed as Employer’s Agent for a build social housing scheme in Beeston, Leeds. The site is located adjacent an ASDA supermarket and residential area within Beeston and was a former light industrial unit which had been raised to the ground.

The objective was to provide a maximum density affordable housing scheme given the high demand for such in the local area. Whilst initial sketches had been discussed, Arcus worked through the design period with the contractor and Home Group to obtain planning permission and agree a negotiated tender for the works with the contractor as well as providing party wall (boundary) work agreements through early engagement with ASDA.

The final scheme provided 49 units for affordable rent in a mix of one bed, two bed and 3 bed units. On completion of the project Home Group scored Arcus an excellent average score of 9.65 out of 10 for service delivery scored against 8 KPIs.
