Arcus Consulting were appointed as Principal Designer on the redevelopment of the Billet Works. The scheme is a mixed use development in an inner city area, comprising terrace housing and blocks of flats divided by a network of roads.
Arcus Consulting worked on behalf of Circle Housing (now Clarion Housing Group) as Principal Designer and Health and Safety Consultant, to plan, manage and monitor health and safety during the pre-construction and construction of the 250 new homes on the brownfield site. The development, Banbury Park, replaced disused warehouses, industrial works and an electronics factory with one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.
The new complex offers a realistic opportunity for people to be able to afford living in an area like Walthamstow where house prices have rocketed. The new homes present a great opportunity to be part of this well connected and stylish community.
As well as housing, the development offers over 2,400 square feet of retail and commercial space. A major new retail unit is planned for the space, as well as smaller shops, boutique stores and business premises. The scheme also has landscaped community spaces, offices and a public square that will help to continue the regeneration of the area.
