Red Lane Growing Project

Earlier this week we visited the Bolton at Homes‘ Red Lane Growing Project to donate new outdoor gear such as wellies and waterproofs, which will be available to anyone who needs to use them at the project.

The community garden in the Red Lane area of Breightmet, allows children and adults grow food, flowers and fruit and to receive training on topics such as horticulture and healthy living. The team run activities after school as well as throughout school holidays to encourage local children to get involved with nature, such as pond dipping, mud gardening and tree planting.

To find out how you can get involved, visit their Facebook page here.

Arcus take our responsibility to supporting local communities seriously and are proud to be carrying out our Social Value commitments in partnership with the ICN Framework. We hope that by providing outdoor gear we can help remove barriers for those who want to get involved and support the fantastic work being done at the Red Lane Growing project.
