PAS 2035 is a new British standard that creates an identifiable quality standard for the retrofit and energy efficiency of existing buildings. The standard helps ensure the right design for a project, so that the right energy-efficient improvements are installed in the right circumstances.
To support our clients to deliver their retrofit projects and meet the PAS 2035 standard, Arcus offers the following services through our qualified team of professionals.
Retrofit Assessors
Our Retrofit Assessors are Trust Mark registered and have attained the Domestic Retrofit Assessment accreditation through Elmhurst Energy. They conduct a thorough energy audit of the dwelling, occupancy review and energy reports and then use the data to identify areas of improvement. Assessments are based upon PAS 2035 ‘Whole House Assessment’.
Retrofit Designers
Arcus Retrofit Designers are RIBA Architects and CIAT Technologists. They use the retrofit assessment and technical expertise to design appropriate energy efficiency improvements using their knowledge and experience of the best retrofit measures appropriate for each dwelling.
Retrofit Advisors/Coordinators
Arcus Retrofit Advisors and Coordinators are TrustMark registered and have attained the Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management. They oversee the project from start to finish, providing a midterm plan that identifies different retrofit measures as well as the subsequent viability, monitoring, and evaluation of energy efficiency measures, in accordance with PAS 2035
Cost Consultants
Our retrofit teams work alongside our Cost Consultants who have experience working on retrofit projects, producing cost benefit analysis and lifecycle costings which include carbon cost effectiveness per retrofit measure to best determine the most suitable retrofit options for the client’s budget.
Contract Administrators
Arcus Contractor Administrators use their knowledge and construction expertise to administer the retrofit contract. They ensure the retrofit installer complies with their duties under the contract and undertake the key tasks required including, arranging and chairing meetings; monitoring progress against programme; authorising interim payments and issuing instructions, variations or change orders. Prior to confirming practical completion they ensure all documentation is in place and the works are complete to ensure a smooth delivery process.
