17 November 2024 sees the start of Road Safety Week 2024
Road Safety Week is an annual campaign, organised by Brake, the road safety charity. Every year, thousands of communities, schools and companies get involved to shout out for road safety where they live and work.
The theme for Road Safety Week 2024 is “After the Crash – Every road victim counts”. It focuses on raising awareness of the impact of road crashes and celebrating the people who support families after a road accident. The campaign will also call for the highest standard of care for all road victims and sustainable funding for road victim services.
Brake said: “Every year, more than 1700 people die on UK roads. Another 30,000 receive serious, life-changing injuries. The numbers are shocking, and there has been no significant reduction for more than a decade.
Arcus will be taking part in #RoadSafetyWeek with @brakecharity this November to raise awareness of the campaign and to learn more about what we can do to keep everyone safe. We would like to encourage others to take part in Road Safety Week. Please visit www.brake.org.uk/road-safety-week
