The Guinness Partnership appointed  Arcus Consulting as Employer’s Agent to demolish Cherry Tree Court. During the building’s decant and demolition, Arcus received an instruction to assist with the design and planning application for the provision of a new residential building on the same site, which consisted of 63 new build apartments for affordable rent.

The design process required thoughtful attention to Clementine Court, a small development of 8 apartments situated off the original Cherry Tree Car Park, ensuring its seamless integration into the entire scheme.  Health and safety standards were consistently maintained at a high level throughout the project. Regular inspections were carried out in collaboration between our Principal Designer and the contractors health and safety team.

Residents who visited the scheme to view apartments at the time of completion were overjoyed with the standard of finishes and the bright airy apartments they would be moving in to. The client views the project as a significant success and has expressed interest in submitting it, along with the cooperative efforts of the project team, for industry awards in 2024. Recognising the quality of work and the overall project approach, Arcus has been invited to design an additional set of apartments in another area of Salford.
