Arcus were appointed to the development on Hesketh Meadow Lane in Lowton near Wigan. The project is situated on the former site of the Lowton Civic Hall and car park, comprising 36 new build homes, with 25 of the units for affordable rent and 11 for market value sales.
The project was handed over in phases which allowed occupation of dwellings to take place. At the start of occupation, Arcus walked the site with the contractor to ensure that whilst road topping out had not been completed that all kerbs, iron works and entrances were provided with adequate ramp arrangements, to reduce any potential trip hazards or damage to the vehicles. As part of the residents pack, Arcus encouraged the inclusion of a temporary document to cover the issues of temporary road surfacing, to enable residents to be fully informed of the current condition and the anticipated date for completion of the site and final topping of the roads.
