Arcus Consulting are appointed as Retrofit Designers and Principal Designers by Fortem for the Hull City Council retrofit programme. The project includes over 800 properties over 4 Major Estate areas. Most of the estates’ homes were built in the 1960s and 1970s. Due to the design and construction methods of the time, some properties within the estate have developed issues relating to heating and condensation.
The aim of the project is to move Hull County Council further along on its journey towards minimum EPC by 2030 and net zero carbon by 2050 and help residents save on their energy bills. The scope of work being undertaken involves External Wall Installation (EWI), window and door replacements, external repairs, roofing repairs, central heating replacements and other associated works.
Phase 1 of the project is already complete which includes 276 properties. All properties are schedule for completion by June 2024.
