Strelley Road Joint Service Centre is a collaborative project between Nottingham City Homes care services, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire Police. The centre offers community services on the ground floor which include a pharmacy, library, computer suite, police unit and community support, along with 36 independent supported accommodation units.
The scheme was fully designed to comply with design standards such as HAPPI principles, Secure by Design and Life Times Homes and meet the BREEAM Multi Residential “Excellent” standard for energy efficiency, as well as considering the requirements of guide dogs within the accommodation and public spaces. All units have balconies and have shared communal lounges on all floors along with gardens and engagement space’s to encourage a sense of community as well as the ground floor services.
The project was awarded Best Social Housing New Housing Development in the East Midlands.
