Continuing our 2021 staff training programme, this month we provided Stress Awareness Training for all employees, aiming to explain what work-related stress is, how to identify it, how to prevent it and what to do if you experience workplace stress.
According to the UK Government, in 2019/20 there were an estimated 828,000 workers affected by work-related stress, depression or anxiety, a significant increase from the previous years figures.
HR Manager and Company Partner, Andrew Greenwood commented “Mental wellbeing does not mean being happy all the time and it does not mean you won’t experience negative or painful emotions, such as grief, loss, or failure. These are a part of normal life but sometimes they develop into a more serious problem and that could happen to any one of us. By providing information and training about stress and mental health, we hope to create a work environment where staff feel supported and able to share their concerns.”
