Compendium Living is a joint venture partnership between the Riverside Group and Lovell Homes. The Castleward Regeneration Plan is a £100m partnership development joint venture arrangement between Compendium Living and Derby City Council. The project, which started in 2013, will be carried out over the next 10-15 years and will see the phased development of 800 new homes and 35,000 square feet of commercial and retail space.

Following successful working with Riverside Housing Group on a number of projects,  Arcus were selected as the Employers Agent for Phase 2 of Castleward Regeneration. This phase involved the demolition of existing properties including a gymnasium and existing housing to make way for a second phase of 32 apartments and 22 houses, with 42 for open market sale and 12 for affordable rent.

Despite challenges caused by the Covid19 pandemic, all teams concluded that they had worked in the spirit of the form of contract in a partnering, open and honest way and had produced a project of high quality, with sales and rentals significantly higher than originally anticipated.
