Arcus is thrilled to announce that the Moston Campus housing scheme has been shortlisted for the Social Housing Development of the Year at the Insider’s Residential Property Awards 2025, an event celebrating its tenth anniversary of recognising excellence in the residential property sector.
This transformative project, located on the site of the former Manchester College in Moston, has breathed new life into the area by delivering 60 much-needed affordable homes. These homes are designed to balance sustainability with affordability, setting a new standard for environmentally conscious housing.
Arcus, appointed as Employer’s Agent, Principal Designer (CDM) and Clerk of Works, collaborated closely with One Manchester, tp bennett and Watson Group to bring this ambitious scheme to life. The partnership’s shared vision and teamwork together with thoughtful and inspiring design, ensured the project’s successful delivery, addressing the community’s housing needs while championing sustainability.

The 60 homes at Moston Campus feature solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, and air source heat pumps. These eco-friendly features not only reduce the environmental footprint but also help residents save on energy bills, offering long-term financial benefits alongside sustainable living.
The shortlist recognition underscores the success of this collaborative effort in raising the bar for social housing development.
